iPLACENTA Enterprising Skills Training Programme (Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Dundee)The participants in the programme were given training and mentorship over six weeks to develop a business proposal from a theoretical brief. The programme ended with a public pitching final, at which a panel of judges scored the viability of their businesses and offered feedback to the teams. Read more in our blog.

Mimetas "virtual day"The Mimetas seminar was designed to deliver an industry perspective on biomedical research and to equip the iPLACENTA early-stage researchers to recognise IP in their current and future work. Sessions included a talk from Mimetas CEO Paul Vulto on setting up a successful biotech company, Principal Scientist Kristin Bircsak on working as a scientist in industry vs. academia, lecture and Q&A on IPR by IP Manager Jan-Paul de Hoog, and interactive IPR sessions led by Henriette Lanz, Director Model Development.

Productivity, Project and Time Mangement for ScientistsAimed to give the Early-Stage Researchers a motivational boost for the new year, this open webinar covered some widely used strategies and tools for maximising productivity and managing researchers' time, projects, and meetings. Looking at his own experiences and challenges as a researcher and group leader, Prof. Olaf Wolkenhauer (University of Rostock) included another goal that is fundamental: balancing work with "life" and not forgetting "fulfilment".
