When many people think of visiting Italy they usually have Rome, Florence, Naples in mind. I was in the same mindset until I arrived in the hidden gem of northern Italy, Torino. The city is in the Piedmont region and is surrounded by western Alps providing a breath-taking view of the mountains in various points of the city....

13/8/2018 iPLACENTA recruits Project ManagerSchool of Medicine part of the University of Dundee officially take the coordinating role of iPLACENTA, Horizon 2020 ITN. The transfer was instigated by the coordinator Dr Colin Murdoch who developed the project moving to Dundee to take up a senior lectureship post. This led to Dr Murdoch bringing the Horizon 2020 Innovative Training Network to the school of medicine at University of Dundee.
Dr Colin Murdoch, University of Dundee and iPLACENTA project coordinator presents iPLACENTA Innotative Training Network to EU experts at the annual EuroToxemia meeting. The meeting of experts held in the historic settings of Faculté de Pharmacie de Paris. The meeting was hosted by iPLACENTA member, Prof Daniel Vaimen. Other iPLACENTA consortium members, Dr Fergus McCarthy (University College Cork) and Prof Hannele Lavouri (University of Helsinki) were also invited speakers. see here for more info |
About the blogBeing a PhD student in a European training network is a life-changing adventure. Moving to a new country, carrying out a research project, facing scientific (and cultural) challenges, travelling around Europe and beyond… Those 3 years certainly do bring their part of new - sometimes frightening - but always enriching experiences.
