Dr. Jose Morales Rosello
Born on 01/23/1967 in Torrente (Valencia), Dr. Morales studied EGB, baccalaureate and COU at the El Vedat School in Torrente, accessing the University of Valencia with honors. He studied medicine and surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Valencia and at the School of Medicine at the University of Bristol (England), with an ECTS-Erasmus scholarship from the European Union.
The MIR opposition was approved to enter the specialized training four months after finishing the degree, later finishing the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology at the General University Hospital of Valencia. During the residency he also carried out a fellowship of 6 months in fetal medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford (England) in the Ultrasound and Prenatal Diagnosis Department, under the direction of prof. Paul F. Chamberlain. He holds a Ph.D. cum laude with an extraordinary doctorate award from the University of Valencia and an award from the Medical Association of Valencia for the best doctoral thesis, has two master's degrees in his specialty from the University of Valencia, and is an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Valencian Health by competition-opposition, obtained twice. He has worked for over 20 years in public and private healthcare and has made training stays at the Guy's Hospital, Fetal Cardiology Unit and St George's Hospital, Fetal Medicine Unit in London, maintaining a close collaboration with the Fetal medicine Unit of that hospital . He has published 64 international papers in journals indexed in the Pub-Med scientific bibliographic base, especially in relation to Doppler ultrasonography and fetal medicine. He is an expert ecographer and teacher accredited by the Section of Ultrasound of the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics and also scientific reviewer of numerous international publications among others: Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (both with impact factor close to 4), Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy, American Journal of Perinatology, Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Research, BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth and Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Since 2015 he is also Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia. |
